Pre-Registration opportunities
At Asda Opticians we are proud to offer a comprehensive education, development, and training package for our pre-registration optometrists.
Our optometrist supervisors alongside our Optical Managers and Optical Colleagues have wealth of experience to guide and support you throughout your pre-reg year.
We deliver our pre-registration programme in partnership with Optom Academy, providing our pre-registration students the tools, skills, and knowledge to embark on their next step in becoming a qualified optometrist.

Your development
At Asda Opticians we support all members of our optical team to develop their career, this includes:
- The opportunity for our professionals to use their skill and passion to support the next generation of optical professionals as a Dispensing Optician, Contact Lens Optician or Optometrist supervisor.
- Our professionals can continue to develop and are supported to complete additional accreditations and qualifications.
- Our Optical Manager Dispensing Opticians can develop with the Contact Lens Certificate funded course delivered via ABDO College.
- And once their Level 3 Optical Apprenticeship has been completed, our Optical Assistants can progress to the Level 6 Dispensing Optician Apprenticeship delivered via ABDO College.
